Voice Work and Reel
Amy has just recorded the role of Ariane Cally in the audio remake of 1970's cult sci-fi classic BLAKE'S 7. In 'CALLY: BLOOD & EARTH' Amy worked alongside original BLAKE'S 7 cast member Jan Chappell, playing a clone of the character Cally that Jan made her own in the original TV series. The drama is available for purchase now.
Amy's debut radio 4 play 'WRITING THE CENTURY 8' was chosen as Radio 4's 'Pick Of The Week'. In it, she played the leading role of Hazel, a young Yorkshire girl growing up in post-war Huddersfield. The play was directed by Peter Leslie Field and recorded at BBC Radio in Manchester. Also for the BBC, her work includes the recently aired 'TWO ON A TOWER' for Radio 4, diretced by Stefan Escreet. Amy played the role of Tabtiha Clark.
Amy's other voice work includes the drama 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE' and 3 different character voice overs for the independent film 'SOMETHING I PREPARED EARLIER'.
Amy's natural voice is a soft Yorkshire accent, however she is adept in a wide range of voices. Her RP is immpecable, having grown up in the Spa town of Harrogate, an isolated enclave of RP accents in the middle of Yorkshire. Renowned dialect coach Charmian Hoare has described Amy's American accent as 'perfect'.
Before her drama training Amy gained a first class BA Honours degree in French from Kings College London, and lived and worked in Paris for a year, so she speaks the language fluently, and with an authentic accent.
